Jinja District Association of the Blind (JDAB) was initially called Victoria Association and Workshop of the Blind. It was formed by six blind people with an aim of uniting the blind and empowering them through vocational training. It initially operated in whole of Busoga region with the workshop located in Jinja District, in a building belonging to the custodian board for departed Asians.
